Description
STEM Coding Lab is an educational non-profit organization that provides computer science and STEM education to children in underserved communities that is based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, From August 2022 to September 2023 I worked with STEM Coding Lab on their 12-week asynchronous educational program as an artist and lead animator. I was responsible for designing and animating their two characters, Codey and Circuit across six educational videos, which focused on the fundamentals of programming.
Role & Responsibilities
I worked with the program director to storyboard and animate 6 animated lesson videos that were between 5 to 10 minutes each. Each video outlined topics for their coding curriculum for middle school and elementary students, including careers in tech, programming priniciples, and tutorials in the Scratch educational software. The videos were animated using Procreate and Adobe Premiere Pro. I also created illustrations and designs for their two mascot characters, Codey and Circuit, for general use in their graphics and social media.
