Description

From 2024 to 2025 I served as a level designer at Mega Cat Studios for the game God of War: Sons of Sparta. As a level designer, I worked closely with the environment art teams to develop the look and feel of the various levels in the game, starting from early blockouts all the way to completion. I created environment layouts and parallax for background vistas and foreground elements, designed additional set dressing and props, and revised art as needed, including color corrections and scaling.

Level Design

  • Created detailed level layouts and blockouts from concept to completion
  • Designed traversal paths and player flow through environments
  • Collaborated with environment artists to establish visual pacing
  • Iterated on level design based on playtesting feedback

Puzzle Design

  • Designed combat encounters and puzzle mechanics
  • Balanced difficulty curves for progression
  • Integrated puzzle elements with narrative beats
  • Created environmental puzzles that reward player exploration
  • Port of Messenia traversal puzzles
  • Sunken Agora spirit jar puzzles and traversal
  • Passage of Monuments ropeway and Lunar Blade puzzles
  • Vyros Gorge Traversal and Layout
  • The Barren Steppe silo puzzles and traversal

Environment Design

  • Developed environment layouts and parallax for background vistas
  • Created set dressing and prop placement for foreground elements
  • Conducted color corrections and scaling revisions
  • Maintained visual consistency across all game levels
